Mr Philip Roberts – Legal Practitioner Director, Senior Lawyer, Notary Public
Philip founded RobertsLaw in Mudgeeraba over 35 years ago and since that time has worked tirelessly within the Gold Coast community. As a Senior Lawyer, Philip has extensive experience in many practice areas including Commercial and Civil Litigation, Business Law, Succession Planning, and Conveyancing.
Philip uses his decades of experience to deliver commercial solutions for the firm’s clients no matter how complex the matter may seem.
Philip has held various roles within the community, including being a foundation member of the Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce. Philip is a past President of the Gold Coast Law Association and was co-founder of the Gold Coast Community Legal Advice Centre, with the Dean of Law of Bond University. He was one of the founders of the Bond University Rugby Club in 1989. He was also a co founder of the Mudgeeraba Rotary Club and Emmanuel College, Carrara. Philip also served on the Board of King’s Christian College as Chairman for 8 years. King’s has now grown to become the largest private school in Queensland. Currently, Philip is President of the Gold Coast Bridge Club and welcomes any enquiries about the beautiful game.
Ms Amanda Tomlinson – Senior Associate, Accredited Specialist (Family Law), LLB(Hons)/B.Bus
Amanda has more than 10 years’ experience as a Solicitor practicing in Family and Estate Law. As the Gold Coast Hinterland’s only Accredited Family Law Specialist, Amanda has assisted many clients from the local community achieve the very best outcomes available to them.
Amanda provides a personal and tailored approach to all of her clients and, whilst she has a particular interest in complex Family Law property matters, she is dedicated to achieving equitable legal solutions in all facets of both Family and Estate Law.
After completing a dual Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree, Amanda undertook a Post-Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Bond University and was admitted as a legal practitioner in both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2005.
Amanda currently serves on the Management Committee of the Robina Community Legal Centre Inc and is a member of the Queensland Law Society, Family Law Practitioner’s Association of Queensland, Gold Coast District Law Association and the Robina Community Legal Centre.
Ms Hannah Brand – Estate Lawyer, LLB
Hannah is a Solicitor with experience in Deceased Estate Law, Commercial and Cottage Conveyancing, Commercial Litigation and general property matters. Since her admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2014, and the High Court of Australia in 2015, Hannah has assisted the firm’s clients in these areas to reach the best commercial outcomes achievable.
Since commencing with the firm as a paralegal in 2010, Hannah has acquired many years of experience in Property and Estate matters, which enables her to provide clients with practical advice for their specific circumstances.
Hannah has a keen interest in all aspects of Property and Deceased Estate matters and is a regular volunteer at the Robina Community Legal Centre Inc.
Hannah is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Robina Community Legal Centre.
Mr Cholm Darvall – Property Lawyer, Conveyancing Manager
Cholm practiced law in Queensland running his own firm for over 35 years before joining the RobertsLaw team in his role as the firm’s Conveyancing Manager in 2015. With a background in Property Law, Conveyancing and Wills and Estates, Cholm has a wealth of knowledge and experience which enables him to expertly guide client’s through all aspects of their conveyance.
Cholm’s direct communication approach fosters client confidence in the conveyancing process and ensures that purchase and sale transactions are settled with a minimum of fuss.
